Parisian Shoes and Bags PFW Oct. 2012
My first taste of Philippine Fashion week.
I was ecstatic when the stylist of Parisian, Sir Mike de Guzman, commissioned me to make the Russian Military segment for Parisian Shoes and Bags. As a young designer, It has been a dream of mine to be able to join PFW. I am so grateful that they trusted me with this. This was definitely the highlight of my 2012 year.
When I was in college, my friends and I would get all dressed up to watch PFW every season. Outfit talaga kung outfit! haha We’d watch every show, Sunod sunod talaga and keme lang sa mahabang pila. Makikipag siksikan talaga kami just to get good seats! hahaha Yan ang major gimmick namin noon, mas pinaghahandaan ang fashion week kesa sa night out! haha I love watching PFW, It motivates me, it inspires me.. I always imagine what it would be like to see my garments walk down the runway, and how I’d bow right after. Kinikilig ako just thinking about it! haha
I just wish that someday I would be able to show my collection on the runways of PFW. Until that day comes, I’ll work as hard as I can and maybe someday, who knows, I might be able to fulfill that dream.
